Drop-off Shredding Service

Visit our office location at 761 Redwood Square in Oakville.

Open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday – no appointment necessary.

Your documents will be collected and held in a locked security bin. Documents are then shredded at the end of each day.

Once complete, a Certificate of Destruction is issued so you can be sure your information has been destroyed.

The cost for shredding is $20 per box and $25 per hard drive (cash only).

  • How much does it cost to shred documents?

    We offer two types of residential shredding services:

    For One-time residential shredding services cost, boxes of paper are charged a per box rate. Media and Hard Drives are charged per piece. The rates decrease as volumes increase. Minimum charges apply. You can view pricing of your shredding service and schedule a shredding date online. 

    Drop-off residential shredding services:  are $20 per box. Shredding can be dropped off at the Blue-Pencil office any weekday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Cash only.

  • Does my material for shredding need to be organized in boxes?

    Your confidential material does not have to be boxed. We accept documents any way store them (plastic bins, plastic bags or other). We may offer one of our many totes to store, collect and destroy your data and information.

  • Do I need to remove staples, paperclips, or clips before shredding?

    No, you don’t need to remove paper clips, staples or binder clips before your documents are shred. Our industrial shredders are strong enough to shred them along with your documents.

  • Can I witness the document shredding process?

    Yes, as part of our residential shredding service, you may witness your data and paper being securely destroyed by our mobile shredding trucks right at your home.

  • What time will you service my location?

    We service clients between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Our reliable Customer Service representatives will call you 1 hour before the truck arrives at your location to shred your documents.

  • What size jobs do you accept?

    No secure document destruction job is too large or too small. We can complete small residential shredding jobs as small as one box to large office clean outs as large as 100,000+ boxes.

  • What cities do you offer shredding services? Do you shred in Toronto?

    Blue-Pencil offers residential services in to many areas in southern Ontario, including Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). We visit some areas, like Toronto multiple times per week.
